Hello everyone... I just picked up my 05 F-150 Lariat crew cab 4x4 which is straight BONE STOCK! I need some help in finding a 3" suspension lift kit and am not real sure which one to get. I am on a tight budget but need the extra 3" to get the larger tires, that were given to me, under the truck. I also need some direction on an "easy install" lift kit. If any of you can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
I am one who believes that you get what you pay for. With the less expensive kits out there, while they will lift your truck, they typically ignore the steering and drive geometry that the more expensive ones address. Some of the better ones are Rancho, Tough Country and Fabtech.
There are lots of suspension lift options just like on this page - http://4wheelonline.com/Suspension_Lift_Kits.24 ,and it seems that most guys here and from other forums have no issues with their chosen brand -- making it the "best" option for them. And based on what I've read from different sites, Pro Comp and Fabtech are the most popular brands.
