Default Truck won't start suspect Fuel Pump

My 2010 4.6 l 3v 4X4 haS HAd a problem. Three times in the last three months, it wouldn't start when I first tried, then when I went back hours later, it cranked right up. Did it again today. I suspect that it is the fuel pump and will replace it in the near future. My big question is what in the world is the difference between a Motorcraft fuel pump and all the others? The big difference that I see is the $160 more for Motorcraft. Any help would be appreciated.
