Default Occasional “no ignition”

Hi all.

My 2001 f150 died (once), and no start (twice). Short lived.

Have a local guy troubleshooting but he can not duplicate. And no codes tripped.

Anyone have similar problem with successful resolve?

Thanks,

Bryan
(New guy on the block)

Default No ignition

Two thoughts. I had a 2010 F-150 4.6l that wouldn't start on me either. Come back 2-3 hours later and it would start. This was in 2016. The issue was the fuel pump. Make certain that you only put in Ford OEM parts because I bought an aftermarket one, which was the wrong one, and my truck died. $1,500 and a week later, after replacing several electrical components as well that the wrong fuel pump caused to go wonky, I got my truck back. No issues since then and I traded it in for a 2018 last year.
Second thought. You could have an ignition wire that is broken in the insulation which separates when the wire gets hot and goes back together when it cools down. Happened to me a long time ago.
Good luck. Check that fuel pump out.
