Hi all.... I'll take a long shot here and hope for the best.
I have a 2013 FX4 SCREW.
When I set the climate control to AUTO, I do not get full blower speed.
Here is an example-
While driving in very cold temperatures, the engine is at operating temp, (the cab is not) when I put the Temp control on "HI", the blower motor is very lazy. No way this thing is blowing high speed. Then, when I press the Fan "+" button, the fan speeds up to what I think is full speed. The local Ford Stealership wouldn't help and claimed, "that's how it works". Was I stunned? Not really.
Fast forward to warranty expiration date.
I believe I know when the trouble started- One morning, I started the truck using the remote start. When I entered the truck, I accidently pressed the climate control on/off knob, before inserting the key. I heard what sounded like an electrical arc behind the glove compartment in the dash. Ever since then, when the HVAC is running in "AUTO" mode, the blower is lazy.
I have replaced the blower motor resistor with a genuine Motorcraft part. The problem persists.
Any ideas?
