I watched a network news show that used the F150 as an example of the information the truck collects. The show went on to say any vehicle from 2008
and up has this capability. Location from GPS, time, breaking and speed are some of data collected. It would not take long for anyone with access to this data to be able to predict where you would be.
I walked away from GM due to the invasive nature of the ONSTAR system.
My 2011 F150 does not have factory gps or wifi. It does have bluetooth so that means I do have a channel open to the world, just a lot shorter range.
Does anyone know how to delete this information?
I am a privacy advocate and refuse to share data when ever I can. My phone number for a haircut. NOPE.
there is more out there if you care to look.
