I'm lucky enough to be driving a pal's '96 F150 XL 4x4. He recently dinked the passenger door and while i'm here in Vancouver Canada I thought a nice thank you gesture would be to find him a 2nd hand door to replace the damaged one. I've found a 1992 F150 in a local dismantlers but the manager there said it wouldn't fit the 1996 truck. I took a couple of pics and I can't see any external differences but read there may be some internal door changes between 1992 and 1996. Can someone confirm whether I should buy the door please?!

Only difference I know of is a new body line at the bottom of the door. And why would Ford make that big of a change on the last year of that model??
