The rattle you describe may be caused by the door latch cables. They run to the inside door handle and the plastic loop fastener that holds it in place can break or fails to keep the cable tight to the door. Open it up and zip tie it down and that should take care of it.
2007 door rattle
I just bought a 2007, standard cab with the little accessory doors. There is no play in the doors when open; the hinges are tight. The strikes appear to be in god shape. Yet when I drive over a bump there is a significant bump or rattle at the doors on both sides of the truck. Any suggestions?
