Ok guys, I am stumped. I have a 1999 F150 4.6L V8, with 339242.4 miles. It's throwing code P0305. Let's start from the beginning. We replaced 8 plugs 3/2019 using Autolite Iridium plugs, 4/2019 Motorcraft wires & coils. It ran great. In Oct. 2020 we had the starter replaced. 11/2020 it threw a code and my husband replaced a plug. 12/2020 we replaced the Throttle position sensor (Carquest). 3/2021 & 5/2021 It threw a code again and he replaced a plug (I don't know which cylinder). It also was acting up when you started it. Beginning July 2nd, it threw codes P0131, P0304, P0305. He replaced the O2 sensor, put in 8 Motorcraft plugs and changed the fuel filter. Still threw code for P0305. After looking at the wires, he found they had melted in a couple of them so he replaced with Motorcraft wires. Still threw P0305 so yesterday, 7/21/2021, he changed the coils (Motorcraft). Guess what??? Code p0305. Augh..... Now what? He did listen to the injectors with a mechanic's stethoscope, said they all "clicked". What am I missing?

P0305 code means that the cylinder 5 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. In addition to all that has been done, check for intake leaks and if no leaks are found the next step is to take a look at the EDIS (Electronic Distributorless Ignition System). Here is a link to help out with that.
