Another New Guy With A Question

Hello All,

New here, but I thought that it might be a good place to start and see what others may know and have found on the subject. I have a 2007 F150 4x4 Lariat and the rubber pieces at the ends of the cowlings between the hood and the windshield have deteriated and are crumbling. I spoke to Ford today and the quoted me a price for the complete cowling piece itself at about $117.00 per side. Apparently the rubber end does not come as a separate piece from Ford, so they can stick it to you for the complete cowling. Who elese has run into this issue and what solution did you come up with? Even an after-market solution is better than $234.00 for 2 small pieces of rubber.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brett
