I am new to the forum, my Question is on Brake pads. I have a 06 f150 with just under 30,000 miles,I notice the brake seem a little soft. a friend of mine just changed brake pads at 25,000 miles. Has any one else had this problem and if so what brake pads where used as replacements.
Thanks Again New member.

Welcome from The Show Me State!

A soft feel to the brakes more often than not is air in the lines and, since air compresses and liquids don't, you get that soft feel and you could swap out pads from now until the end of time and it won't change a bit.

The best thing to do is bleed the system and purge it of all air in the lines and master cylinder. While it isn't a really difficult job it is one of those jobs that is okay to let a professional take care of if you are unsure or don't have the proper tools. The days of crawling under a vehicle with your buddy stepping on the pedal while you open and close the bleeder valves is a thing of the past with newer braking systems.

Hope that helps.
