at first I thot I had a cracked block or a head gasket problem but i now think I am simply getting air in the coolant somewhere. Lots of frothy heavy foam. it looks like marshmallow topping. No signs of leaks anywhere. No signs of oil in the water. No signs of water in the oil. If anyone has some suggestions I'd appreciate hearing from ya. thanks

With the engine/coolant cold, see if the level has dropped at all. Low coolant levels allow the water pump to mix air in the system which can cause that kind of symptom.

Check the oil on dipstick and underside of oil filler cap for any white streaks.

Have the cooling system pressure tested to see if there are any issues.
