Would like to know if HID's were an option for a 2007 Ford F150 Lariat? I just purchased this vehicle, and the lights were HID. Unfortunately, when I turned the High Beams on, the lights did not get brighter, in fact it looked like they were turned off,and just the fog lights were lit. So I contacted my Dealer, because the Trk was under warranty, so they removed the HID system, and re-connected the stock system, so the High Beams work properly now, but I really liked the brightness and clean white light of the HID's. and no the Dealer said, that they did not have any of the old lighting to return to me. What do you think?

Roadking, probably not what you want to hear, but anything but OEM HIDs are a joke. AND illegal. Installing a "conversion" kit in halogen housings are in violation of 2 Federal laws:
FMVSS - 49CFR571.108
http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/cfr_2002/octqtr/49cfr571.108.htm
NHTSA - 49CFR564
http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/cfr_2006/octqtr/49cfr564.5.htm
For more easily understood information, try these links:

So, after reading up real scientific information, THEN decide. Personally, I find that running 80/100 watt bulbs work much better than dealing with the issues with HIDs. Now, OEM HIDs are the bomb (with 4300K capsules)
Hope this helps!

Stingray... Those were some really interesting articles. Thanks for bringing them to my attention. I was thinking about aftermarket products but I 'm not sure they are the answer anymore. The lights on my truck are adequate I was just trying to maximize.
