Slight vibration at acceleratoin

Hey all, I am new to the forum and new to Ford. I just bought 1 2004 fx4 5.4 liter super crew. It has 100,000 miles. I have noticed that when I start from a complete stop and accelerate slowly there is a slight vibration/rattle that seems to come from up under the drivers dash area and lasts for less than one second. I never does it except when accelerating from a complete stop. Is this anything to be concerned about or is this just normal sounds for this truck. Thanks

Welcome aboard! As the owner of a white 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat SC with better than 100k on the clock I can attest to the fact that there are going to be some odd noises and vibrations here and there. If it is a slight vibration under the dash that only last for a second or so, call it character and press on with pride! ;)

Thanks. I took it to Ford to service it right after buying it and the tech said that their was an after market oil filter that was not recommended for 5.4 3 valve engines. I know the guy I bought it from serviced it regularly at a family owned car wash type place every 3,000 miles for the life of the truck probably always putting on those after market oil filters that are "not recommended". I have read some nightmare stories about after market filters ruining engines. My engine seems fine except for that slight vibration noted that is more just a little annoying than anything. Do I have anything to worry about due to the after market oil filters if everything seems fine right now? I
I wouldn't worry too much about it if the tech didn't say anything was wrong.
